In summary...

All Races Start at Town Hall, run up Water Lane (opposite RNLI), right onto South Main Street and pass under Clock Gate,

All finish at the IRONMAN Finish Line in Market Square.

500m: Takes a right down O'Rahilly St. (ESB Lane) and right again to the finish line.

1000m: Continues on North Main St. to turn down Brown Street (O'Neill,Crowley St.).

1500m: As 1000m but turns up O'Rahilly Street to repeat the loop through Brown Street before again finishing in Market Square.

In the lead-up to the event the IRONMAN Hotline will be open between 8am & 9pm daily from Tuesday 1st August to respond to any queries locals may have in relation to the above closures/diversions.

On race day, in an emergency, if you are behind a road closure and need to get road access urgently please call this number as it will sit in Race Control and we should be in a position with our stakeholders (Gardai, Ambulance, Fire, etc) to assist you in getting in/out.

Coping with the closures

If you will be affected by any of the above closures and wish to avoid them we urge you to consider leaving ahead of your local closure coming into force and returning after it is lifted. If you travel for work we suggest you also consider leaving earlier than usual to avoid any issues.

If you come to Youghal for your shopping normally on a day when these closures are in effect then we have agreed with the local businesses that the best policy is to come on one of the earlier days in the week on this occasion OR defer your visit until first thing on Monday morning when all closures will have been lifted.

Businesses who may be affected by the event should also contact us in the lead-up - there will be opportunities during the weekend to get deliveries in and out and we will always work with you to minimise disruption.
